LITTLE BOAT by Ajay Mathur & Mary Lou von Wyl - In mid-August 2020, Ajay was thrilled to get an email, the first response to his appeal to fellow musicians, from Chicago with audio-tracks to this song. Samuel Mosching, a Swiss jazz guitarist who has lived in the USA for several years, plays guitar as well as the bass and drums on this interpretation. 'Little Boat' was originally released as the title song of Ajay's fourth album.

Got a medal for rising above the tall waves that keep crashing right in. Didn't mean to say it like this, but you were part of the deafening din. Little boat has been rowed down the bay, smashed to pieces all over the shore. Clear to see there's no use in believing this boat, it won't float any more. Now the tide it rises again takes the wreckage with it out to the sea. Something good in the way that it happens, washed the boat and a soul and we're free. Now I stand there, void of my resistance, in the wisdom of the stillness I see. Now I stand there, horizon in the distance, surrounded by the calm of the sea.
